My friend Richard Harlow over at BustedDaily.com sent me an email about some paparazzi pictures he snapped of former “Girls Next Door” star Bridget Marquardt a little while ago. He noticed something interesting about the pictures… Bridget was wearing one of the Steinhausen Ladies Ivory Circle Diamond Bracelet watches.

We beta launched a new integration between our shopping website and Facebook, allowing for faster logins and easier account management. The system is in beta testing right now, which means that it might have some hiccups here and there. For example, we already know that it doesn’t work with the Safari web browser at all. This is something we need to work on.
What this new integration with Facebook allows is for you to login with your Facebook login and link it to your Steinhausenonline.com account. For people without an existing Steinhausen account, there is an option to create an account while linking it to your Facebook account. In just a few clicks you will have your accounts linked. This will make it easier to login to your Steinhausen account as all you need to do is be logged into your Facebook account.
Your privacy is protected the entire time. We don’t share your email address with Facebook, and we don’t have access to the email address you have on record with Facebook. In fact, you can have two different email addresses for both accounts. The addresses you use for your Steinhausen account will not be shared with Facebook either. You can even turn off the wall postings from the Steinhausen application if you so choose.
The Steinhausen application operates just like any other Facebook application, including the one we use for this blog. Our blog has been linked to Facebook since the day we launched. Happy shopping folks!
There are three black Friday deals currently available on our shopping website www.steinhausenonline.com. You can find all of the black Friday deals along with other specials currently available by visiting our RSS feed section.
If you are unfamiliar with RSS feeds and how to go about reading them, we’ve made the coupons and discounts available on a regular webpage, compliments of Google’s FeedBurner service. On this page, you can even subscribe to receive free emails whenever we post new coupons and specials.
The Dunn Horitzon has been one of our best selling watches ever since we introduced this technical marvel a few years ago. How does the Dunn Horitzon stack up to other watches? Well, rather than comparing it to watches, we decided to compare it to quarters. Two quarters to be precise…
While we had the Dunn Horitzon out this morning in the studio, I decided to take some detail pictures of the face because the dial has this immaculate texture to it…
A couple of people asked me if that was Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson. That would be cool if it was him, but it’s not.
Black Friday is a trending topic on Twitter right now. Black Monday should be trending as well. For decades companies have been living and dying by the Friday after Thanksgiving. The Internet introduced Black Monday because so many people do their Internet shopping on the Monday after Thanksgiving when they get back to work.
2009 will be the first holiday season with a solid Twitter user base. We’ve started a Twitter account and have plans for some exclusive promotions available only to Twitter and Facebook followers/fans!
I picked up a Motorola Droid the first day it came out… I’ve been nothing but satisfied with the new Android OS 2.0 and the superb Droid hardware. In fact, I’ve been so satisfied with it that I can’t wait until they come up with a longer lasting battery. 6.5 hours is not enough.
But I digress…
Verizon and Google have been putting a lot of money and effort into promoting the Droid. One of the things they’ve been doing is promoting Android’s voice search with a live voice search displayed in Times Square! Pretty cool stuff
So, we had a little bit of fun today at Steinhausen headquarters…
We take a lot of photography and visit a lot of trade shows throughout the year at Steinhausen. 2009 was one of the busiest years we’ve had in awhile. From showcasing products in Las Vegas to visiting large retailers across the country, we’ve brought a lot of samples along the way. What happens to these samples? Well, most of the time they just sit in our product studio in case we need photography. Sometimes the samples can take up to 6 months to find their way back into our office.
I’ll admit, these watches and winders and accessories don’t always come back in perfect condition. We can’t always pack them in our Luxury Watch Traveling Case, so the items sit in our studio… Until now! In a few weeks, we’ll be launching the Steinhausen Open Box Store. Items we’ve taken to shows, events, galleries, etc. will be available for sale directly to the public. These items are fully functional products with minor blemishes. They are NOT used items. These are items that were utilized by the Steinhausen staff for photography, events, displays, etc. They are not worn automatic watches and used watch winders. They work just like a new item, they just might have a ding here and there.
Think of it like the Certified Pre-Owned programs for automobiles. We’ve verified that all of these items are functional and pass checklists to ensure you are getting a near new item. However, you might have to put up with a couple scratches, dings, or other blemishes. Wear the Open Box Steinhausen watch with a pair of faded jeans, and you’ll look like you are ready for a vintage magazine photo shoot. That’s what we use them for!
Just a month ago I was talking about the eminent arrival of a new Steinhausen timepiece pulled from the archives of Ulrich Van-Heusen. It seems like this year has gone by so quickly, and the last 30 days are no exception. While the announcement of the new Tasche (German for pocket) Collection won’t receive the same fanfare as the new Motorola Droid, it is still a marvelous timepiece worthy of attention.
The first arrival is the Tasche Enrich, which is my personal favorite. There is just something about the remote second hand that is so unique. It really is an amazingly handsome piece of craftsmanship!
We stayed true to Ulrich’s original design as best as we could. We even included the butterfly case, which allows you to open the back after you’ve opened the front, revealing the gears and immaculate movement inside.
A limited number of each Tasche Collection watch are being made. The timepiece comes with a stainless steel chain that is sturdy and sure to last for generations.
My favorite part about this watch (besides the sweeping hand) is the ticking. Nothing in the world sounds quite the same as a mechanical pocket watch.
Of course, pocket watches are rarely seen on anyone who is not wearing a three piece suit. Steinhausen plans on changing that soon with a new accessory that Ulrich envisioned decades ago as he saw the business world moving towards a more casual work environment. This new accessory will be coming soon!
