Just a month ago I was talking about the eminent arrival of a new Steinhausen timepiece pulled from the archives of Ulrich Van-Heusen. It seems like this year has gone by so quickly, and the last 30 days are no exception. While the announcement of the new Tasche (German for pocket) Collection won’t receive the same fanfare as the new Motorola Droid, it is still a marvelous timepiece worthy of attention.
The first arrival is the Tasche Enrich, which is my personal favorite. There is just something about the remote second hand that is so unique. It really is an amazingly handsome piece of craftsmanship!

The Remote Sweeping Second hand make the Tasche Enrich a watch to attract attention from those who appreciate a fine pocket watch.
We stayed true to Ulrich’s original design as best as we could. We even included the butterfly case, which allows you to open the back after you’ve opened the front, revealing the gears and immaculate movement inside.
A limited number of each Tasche Collection watch are being made. The timepiece comes with a stainless steel chain that is sturdy and sure to last for generations.
My favorite part about this watch (besides the sweeping hand) is the ticking. Nothing in the world sounds quite the same as a mechanical pocket watch.
Of course, pocket watches are rarely seen on anyone who is not wearing a three piece suit. Steinhausen plans on changing that soon with a new accessory that Ulrich envisioned decades ago as he saw the business world moving towards a more casual work environment. This new accessory will be coming soon!
